It works by the lanolin penetrating the epidermis (top layer of skin) which creates a semi-permeable film that is an important part of the healing process. Lanolin is thereby absorbed into the intercellular spaces of the skin which increases the skin moisturization and enables the healing process to take effect.

Magical Wool contains a high level of Lanolin (the active ingredient) which is a crucial and powerful property that will soothe and heal inflammation effectively with little discomfort. Unlike anti-inflammatory creams, Magical Wool absorbs between 30-40% of its own weight in moisture. This keeps the contact area dry, allowing the skin to breathe and be oxygenated which is another key factor to healing inflammation.
