Lanolin Creams vs Lanolin Wool

The difference between 'wool fat' also known as Lanolin Wool and Lanolin creams

Lanolin is a wax derived from the fat of sheeps wool. It has a wide range of uses, from medical to cosmetic, and can be found in a variety of products. In the medical field, Lanolin is used as a topical ointment to protect and soothe dry, chapped, or irritated skin. It is also used to treat and prevent diaper rash, protect nipples during breastfeeding, and to soften and protect cracked, dry lips. It is even sometimes used to treat minor burns and scrapes.

The difference between Lanolin Wool and Lanolin creams

Lanolin Wool Fat is simply the purest form of lanolin and has not been altered or processed in any way. This makes it a much more natural and ethical choice than lanolin creams.

Lanolin creams, on the other hand, are often processed and contain potentially harmful ingredients. Many of these creams are made from Lanolin that has been extracted from sheep’s wool using harsh chemicals. This process can strip the Lanolin of its natural properties and can cause irritation for people with sensitive skin. Furthermore, the use of harsh chemicals in the manufacturing process is often seen as unethical.

In contrast, Lanolin Wool Fat is ethically sourced and is not exposed to any chemicals during the extraction process. It is also free from fragrances, colors, and preservatives which can irritate the skin and cause reactions.

Overall, Lanolin Wool Fat is a much better choice than Lanolin creams. Its natural and ethical production process makes it a safer and more reliable option for healing inflammation. Furthermore, it is free from potentially harmful ingredients and fragrances, making it a much healthier choice.

Making the right choice

As a parent, no one ever wants to see their baby suffer from rashes. Unfortunately, rashes are a common occurrence in babies, and it can be tough to decide the best way to treat them.

Lanolin Wool is the better opion when it comes to treating baby rashes and sore nipples. The wool is gentle, breathable, mess and chemical free, making it a clear winner. Lanolin Cream, on the other hand, is a thicker, greasier product that can be too heavy and occlusive for babys delicate skin. While Lanolin Cream can be used to treat certain types of rashes, it is not recommended for a baby's delicate skin.
